About Sydney

Hello, my name is Sydney Morris, and I am the SGA Senate Advisor. Last year, I served as a senator in the Student Government Association, and within my first semester, was appointed as Chair of the Campus Quality Committee by the executive board. In this role, I’ve worked to address student concerns and advocate for meaningful improvements across campus.

Me, my peers, our executive board, and our committee have been consistently working with public safety and administration to succeed in installing new security cameras throughout parking lots, establishing logs for gator carts to be parked in more convenient spots rather than student parking, fixing broken or missing lamp posts around the center of campus for late classes, working on updating bathrooms, and much more. 

Working alongside these connections have strengthened my understanding of student needs and the importance of clear, effective communication within SGA. As the Senate Advisor, I will work hard with future and current classes to continue making LIU Post the best campus it can be, now and on going.
