Annual SGA
Petting Zoo Spectacular
A new tradition of SGA is our Petting Zoo Spectacular! In the Spring, we host a petting zoo with raffles, cotton candy, popcorn, tattoos, face painting, balloon, and most importantly petting zoo animals! From sheep to goats to ducks to rabbits, our petting zoo had all the animals you could imagine.Â

The LIU SGA partnered with SGAs across the state for a united effort to promote mental health on college campuses. We co-hosted a leadership conference in Spring 2024 where dozens of SGAs across Long Island and New York State met at Stony Brook. During this conference, we discussed an amendment to the proposed Student Suicide Prevention Act (SSPA), a state bill currently under review in the New York State Legislature. We also collaborated to share ideas on how we are helping students at our universities.
