Elections

Below is the timeline for the Fall Elections selecting
the SGA for the 2025-26 Academic Year.

1. ELECTION PACKETS ARE CLOSED
   The first thing all prospective candidates must fill out is the Election Packet.

Due: Sep 29th, 11:59 PM

SGA Positions Available Are:

1. • Class of 2029 Class President

   • Senator Positions

2. After filling out the Election Packet, prospective candidates must receive petition signatures as listed below in order to be placed on the ballot. You will receive a direct link that students can fill out for your signatures. 

1. • The positions of President & VP require 50 signatures to be placed on the ballot.

   • The positions of Senate Advisor, Secretary, Treasurer, & Parliamentarian require 25 signatures to be placed on the ballot.

   • The position of Class President requires 20 signatures to be placed on the ballot.

   • The position of Senator requires 15 signatures to be placed on the ballot.

Petitioning & Campaigning Period:

Oct 1st 9AM - Oct 3rd 11:59PM

3. After fulfilling the signature requirement, you will be placed on the ballot and can campaign to gather votes during the campaigning and election period.

Election & Campaigning Period:

Oct 6th 9AM to Oct 7th 11:59PM

Announcement of Winners:

Oct 8th

4. If you get elected to your position, you have an obligation to be at the weekly SGA General Body Meetings as well as weekly Committee Meetings of the committee you are assigned.

1. • The first meeting you will be required to attend post-election is: Thursday Oct 9th 5PM in Hillwood Gold Coast Cinema
