About Sofia

Sofia Solano is a sophomore who studies Speech Language Pathology at LIU Post. She is the president of Brothers and Sisters in Christ (BASIC) and an active member of several clubs and organizations, including the Honors College, Crochet Club, Newman Club, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, the Global Engagement Student Club, the Latino Students Union, and the Marketing Impact Society. As a second-year student who is very involved on campus, she has developed a love for the LIU community and seeks every opportunity to impact those around her positively. Her passion for service, leadership and growth, combined with her multifaceted and diverse experiences on campus and otherwise, led her to apply for the Senator position in the Student Government Association. She hopes that this position will give her more opportunities to make a profound difference on campus so that all students can make the most of their college experience and feel empowered to reach any goals they may aspire to.
