About Sarah

Sarah Bakhtari is a Senior Finance major at LIU Post from Queens, NY. For the past three years, she has lived on campus as an upperclassmen Resident Assistant while actively contributing to the LIU community. She has served as a biology lab assistant for two years, is a member of the LIU Investment Fund, and was part of LIU's ICON Consulting Club. Sarah also held leadership roles as Vice President of the Tennis Club for two years, where she tripled attendance and included pickleball and badminton to the club. In addition, Sarah was on the Muslim Student Association board as Outreach and Media Chair, helping expand the club's visibility and engagement.In addition to these clubs, Sarah works at the Hillwood concierge desk, helping answer important questions and directing students. Sarah also works with the LIU Events team on campus as well as Summer Conferences, and serves as a Grubhub ambassador. Her involvement began with First Year Service and has continued across all four years.With experience in both residential and commuter life, Sarah is committed to strengthening communication and fostering inclusive events. She hopes to bring this dedication to SGA as a Senator.
